The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce provides a number of opportunities to become involved through planning, sponsorship, or participation. Each program is driven by a sense of economic well-being for the business community to include Agri-business, events, networking opportunities, and the ability to share ideas one-on-one.

Ag Committee Events- 60 available $300

Ag Day - Educational event for approximately 500 4th grade students which provides hands on experiences, demonstrations and displays, regarding agriculture. The goal is to make the students aware of the importance of agriculture to the Grand Island economy and to bridge the gap between urban and rural.

Fonner Park State 4-H Horse Expo - This event in July brings approximately 600 youth and their families and friends to Grand Island for five days of competition. Sponsors receive recognition for sponsoring the Champion and Reserve Champion trophies, plaques or prizes in each class; t-shirts and ribbons.

Ag Forum - The Ag committee coordinates a forum to inform or educate area ag producers on topics that are vital to their success.

Ag Appreciation Event - This event brings together 550 area active ag producers with ag related businesses. It is an opportunity to thank the producers for their part in the economic vitality of our area.

The Chamber's Annual Meeting is the premiere business event of the year. The evening includes recognition of outstanding area businesses, an annual report, and a well known keynote speaker who provides relevant insight into successful business operations.

Harvest of Harmony
Bringing 10,000 people to the streets of downtown is a feat in and of itself. The Annual Harvest of Harmony Parade brings more than 10,000 non-resident consumers to our area on the first Saturday in October. For 65 years, the Chamber has coordinated this award winning event, boasting over 165 marching bands and floats. This is truly an event people of all ages enjoy.

Academic Scholarships/Banquets - 75 table sponsors available $160 each
With direction from our Workforce Development Committee, the Chamber hosts this event to recognize the top achievers in our high schools. By connecting these students to the business community, and stressing the concept of returning to Grand Island following post secondary education, the Chamber is working to ensure future business leaders, workforce, and leaders are present in the community.

· Inclusion on Chamber mediums, including weekly updates, newsletter, and web site
· Listing on event programs
· Full color logo included on power point presentation displayed at each event
· Visibility in front of 500 consumers, including students and parents

Academic Scholarship Sponsor - 1 available at $2,000

· The Chamber hosts one Business After Hours monthly, up to 10 events annually
· Sponsorship fee of $350 (if more than one business is sponsoring, the fee is $250 each)
· Location of the event is determined by the sponsor and the Chamber
· Publicity to 750 partner businesses; 1200 persons in database
· Average of 100-150 people attending, depending upon date, time, and other variables
· Event announcement in the Direction for Business newsletter, Broadcast e-mail/fax, and web site (www.gichamber.com)
· Chamber volunteers work at the registration table, serve refreshments, etc.
