The Grand Island Chamber’s Agriculture Committee recognizes the importance of a thriving rural economy and its direct relationship to the business sector. Chamber Annual Meeting
The Chamber’s annual gala is Grand Island’s premier business event and draws over 600 Chamber and community partners, local and state dignitaries. The event features presentations of the Chamber’s Annual Partners in Progress, Distinguished Service and Small Business of the Year awards and a nationally recognized keynote speaker. Chamber Golf Outing
The Chamber Golf Outing is one of our most popular networking opportunities. This event is held in July at Indianhead Golf Course and consists of an 18-hole game with a shotgun start. Governmental Affairs
Jeff Hoefer, Nebraska Truck Center, Chair
The Grand Island Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee studies legislation important to the business community and submits recommended actions to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. The board’s position is then forwarded to the appropriate governing body for consideration in its deliberations on the local, county, state and national levels.

Harvest of Harmony Parade

Each year, on the first Saturday in October, Grand Island comes alive with 90 bands, numerous floats and tens of thousands of people. This annual event is the Harvest of Harmony parade.
After nearly 70 years, the parade boasts a long history of bringing people from all over the state together to enjoy Nebraska’s high school talent.

Harvest of Harmony Pageant
Jen Barker, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska, Chair
The Pageant is an elite event for high school senior girls who are members of their participating band in the Harvest of Harmony Parade. The girls are judged on their academic level, participation in events and volunteer endeavors, as well as their poise.
