The Ambassadors are representatives of Grand Island and area businesses
who volunteer to assist in welcoming new partners at ribbon cuttings,
Business After Hours, groundbreakings, and other special events.
The Ambassadors strengthen the link between our business partners
and the Chamber Board and staff. Volunteerism is based on individual
participation levels. The Ambassadors are bound together by team
goals and accomplishments. More potential Ambassador volunteers
are welcome to join the teams who are committed to supporting the
business community and the Chamber.
Networking opportunities abound for each Ambassador while carrying
on the work of the Chamber through Ambassador events, open houses,
and one on one contact with Chamber Partners.
As the eyes and ears of the Chamber, the Ambassadors connect with
our community, and through that involvement, help the Chamber continue
its place as the premier business organization in the area.
Ambassadors Purpose:
- To carry out a continuing year-round contact program with Chamber
partners.
- To keep partners informed of the purpose and activities of the
Grand Island Chamber and our community.
- To solicit opinion and suggestions from our partners.
- To welcome new partners to the Grand Island Chamber and help
in the celebration of events with current Chamber partnership.
- In general, the Ambassadors are the liaison between the Chamber
partnership and the Chamber board of directors, committees, and
staff.
All the business of the Chamber Ambassadors is carried out in a
lively atmosphere with awards, social gatherings, and meetings to
encourage participation in Chamber partnership, events and programs.
