Locust Street: The Locust Street corridor just north of Interstate 80 Exit 314 to the downtown features an assortment of specialty shops, dining, hotels, and services. Many of these are in the immediate vicinity of Fonner Park and the Heartland Events Center.
Highway 281 Corridor: This corridor is a shopping mecca featuring hundreds of retail shops, restaurants, and services. The anchor of this corridor is the Conestoga Mall – the largest indoor mall between Lincoln and Denver, with over 545,000 square feet. The Mall has five major anchor stores – Dillards, Best Buy, Sears, and JC Penny. Also in this area are dozens of retail strip centers. Combined, the 281 corridor is home to dozens of national brand retailers and locally owned specialty shops.

Do you have a small business? You are invited to team up with other local businesses here in the Grand Island area to encourage our community to shop locally this Holiday Season and drive more traffic to your store. Small Business Saturday is the equivalent to “Black Friday”
for the local businesses in and around Grand Island.
Participation is FREE for all businesses. Click here to see if you qualify. You will receive all of the promotional materials needed to make Shop Small a success. To participate, your business will need to offer a special or discount for the customers who shop that day. Not open on Saturdays? Simply leave the sign up in your window and run your promotion on another day.
