Job Responsibilities:
· Provide support as needed for program activities, both during regular work hours and outside of regularly scheduled hours. Support for activities may include childcare assistance, distribution of materials and translation assistance (if applicable).
· Effectively implement the components of the coaching cycle: establishing context, reflection, feedback, observation, joint planning, and action/practice.
· Gather, track, and interpret data to determine the progress and needs of programs, classrooms and family childcare sites in accordance with an identified evaluation plan and coordinate with project evaluator (if applicable).
· Assist in preparing necessary program forms and materials for program documentation, including monitoring the completeness of files.
· Prepare, maintain, and update necessary databases for program information management. Effectively utilize database information to prepare needed reports and documentation.
· Provide word processing support for program activities (both text and scanned photo materials), including correspondence, reports, brochures, and other materials.
· Assist in documentation monitoring and other checklists. Ensure completion in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
· Significant computer experience, including word processing, with database and spreadsheet experience preferred.
· Knowledge and expertise regarding developmentally appropriate practices.
· Completion of the Nebraska Early Childhood Coach training. (Must have or complete Nebraska 2-day early Childhood Coach training prior to coaching.)
· Nebraska Early Learning Guideline Series completed preferred.
· Introduction to Environmental Rating Scales or Toddler CLASS training preferred.
