    As a Manager of Plant Operations, the main responsibility is for all construction and plant related projects and activities, including ALLOs existing markets and future expansion. The Manager will be responsible for day to day operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and are functioning smoothly. The Manager of Plant Operations is responsible for hitting pre-construction and construction due dates, interval, quality and safety objectives and maintenance of all existing facilities in all markets.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Interview, hire, train and retain team of professionals

    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders

    • Set and manage priorities for contractors and teammates

    • Manage multiple projects concurrently

    • Report status on all phases of assigned projects to stakeholders

    • Understand and follow community right of way and easement regulations

    • Identify and coordinate city and state permits with ALLO’s design team 

    • Ensure quality is maintained

    • Read and interpret construction documents

    • Estimate and control costs in accordance with ALLO’s financial guidelines

    • Ensure red-lines are properly recorded and collected

    • Simplify difficult goals and projects into easier to understand short term goals

    • Ensure safety standards are enforced

    • Coordinate multiple contractors across different markets and projects

    • Ensure outside plant is properly maintained

    • Ensure emergency response procedures are accurately followed

    • Take initiative and action as an ALLO leader

    • Operate and monitor company-owned vehicle by inspecting condition daily and maintaining a valid driver’s license.

    • Other duties as assigned

     

     

     

    EDUCATION: 

    • High school diploma or equivalent.


    SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of fiber optic design and construction

    • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Teams and GIS

    • Effective communication with internal and external customers, contractors, and internal associates Strong organizational skills

    • Ability to prioritize work for internal and external teams

    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

    • Mentor and grow teammates

    • Track and report metrics

    • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers

    • Resolve disputes efficiently and effectively

    • Ability to operate a company vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license

     

    Attention to detail is paramount. Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions. Ability to work independently on multifaceted projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills to present facts clearly and accurately in graphic form. Demonstrate ability to train and lead others, meet deadlines and make independent decisions within guidelines. Previous experience in the communication industry a plus. Experience working to tight deadlines. Excellent analytical skills. Must be able to work overtime as required.
