    Job Description
    POSITION SUMMARY
    As an integral member of our team, the Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist is
    responsible for the design, development, implementation, management, and support of mission critical enterprise BI reporting. Working with cross-functional teams, the Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist is required to gather and document business requirements for data analysis and reporting projects, as well as use BI and database tools to develop reporting solutions to meet business needs.

    Essential Functions Statement(s)
    • Design, develop, and maintain reporting and business intelligence solutions.
    • Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting and to facilitate sharing between multiple data systems.
    • Create, implement, and manage conceptual data models to support custom BI dashboard for business processes.
    • Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of BI environments.
    • Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
    • Train end users to become familiar with new technology and applications.
    • Develop new sales insight tools and analytics.
    • Provide in-depth reporting relating to KPIs.
    • Connect with stakeholders on reporting requirements and report delivery.
    • Execute and design efficient and effective sales performance reporting and dashboards.
    • Produce and report timely and accurate analyses at the appropriate level of detail to enable business decisions.
    • Works with multiple departments in order to leverage data and drive efficiencies and consistency in reporting and analytics.
    • Develop thorough understanding of internal business processes, metrics, and measures
    • Create, implement, and manage conceptual data models to support custom BI dashboard for business processes.
    • Craft and execute queries upon request for data.
    • Present information through reports and visualization.
    • Translate business needs to technical specifications.
    • Design, build, and deploy BI solutions.
    • Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
    • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
    • Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to use and influence resources to meet schedules and goals.
    • Assist division with various IT duties such as computer setup, troubleshooting, etc.
    • Perform other various duties as an IT team member of the Company; provide assistance as needed to other Company IT team members.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES
    Education/Experience: BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable. Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered. Knowledge of working with large databases and visualization tools.
     
    Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Sharepoint, Microsoft PowerBI, SQL. Knowledge of visual design, PowerBI dashboard, and PowerBI tool. Experience with MS Dynamics AX preferred.
     
    Other Preferences: General Manufacturing knowledge.
     
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and lift or carry 10 lbs or less. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle and finger, reach with hands and arms, climb, crawl, squat or kneel, bend, lift or carry up to 50 lbs, and push or pull up to 40 lbs.
     
    Other Physical Requirements: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in a manufacturing environment (i.e. safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection).
