    Job Description
    Responsible for material handling, forklift operation, and assisting supervisor(s) and other leads.

    Essential Functions Statement(s)
    • Assist supervisor(s) and other leads as needed.
    • Material handling.
    • Forklift operation.
    • Clean up area daily to ensure a safe environment.
    • Track performance and work flow.
    • Read blueprints.
    • Work individually or in teams to complete work.
    • Follow all aspects of the company’s 5-S and Preventive Maintenance programs (PMs).
    • Focus on Lean Manufacturing and inventory control.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year welding experience and/or certification required; lead experience preferred.
    Other Preferences: Ability to read blue prints; knowledge of general welding procedures; general manufacturing knowledge.
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is consistently required to lift up to 75 pounds in a variety of awkward positions, while bending, stooping, or standing to perform work overhead, and stand for long periods of time. 
    Other Physical Requirements: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in a manufacturing environment (i.e. safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection).
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.
