    Job Description
    Alive Outside is currently hiring a full-time sales associate.  We are seeking candidates that are excited about biking, fitness, and are inspired to share their passion for health and wellness with everyone around them. 

    The Sales Associate position is responsible for creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers.  The Sales Associate is responsible for the areas of customer service and sales, ongoing training and to further expand our brand in the Grand Island area.   

    Essential Job Functions: 

    Customer Service and Sales 
    • Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store
    • Direct Customers throughout the store or to the specific area the customer requests
    • Give accurate and current information about the product for all inquiries
    • Increase the customer base by adding new customers to the database
    • Handle product returns in a way that demonstrates the 100% satisfaction guarantee
    • Always maintain a positive attitude
    • Utilize the training provided by TREK University
    • Attend outside functions/events as needed

    Operations 
    • Report to work on time
    • Operate the cash register without error and to be consistently accurate with all financial transactions
    • Know and utilize the process for service requests
    • Always practice safety consciousness
    • Maintain a clean and well-organized show floor
    • Maintain the store image by adhering to the dress code

    Physical Requirements 
    • Continually be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, necessary to provide sales floor coverage
    • Continually be able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service and inventory restock
    • Ability to regularly perform store maintenance items:  sweep, empty trash, clean
    • Ability to safely lift boxes up to 55lbs
    • Comfortable climbing ladders

    Minimum Job Qualifications 
    • High School diploma or GED
    • Excellent customer service and sales skills
    • Previous retail or related customer service experience, preferred
    • Accuracy with money handling and software use
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Effective communication skills
    • Self-motivated
    • Ability to effectively work with a team
