    Job Description
    Communicate directly with customers, primarily by telephone. Respond to sales inquiries and assist customers regarding the company’s products and services. Determine the best method to resolve these calls to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies. Work closely with other members of the sales team and other departments to effectively serve the customer and increase sales and profits.

    Essential Functions Statement(s)
    • Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests. 
    • Contact regular and prospective customers to explain product features and solicit orders. 
    • Estimate or quote prices and delivery dates that meet specific customer needs. 
    • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support. 
    • Prepare estimates and bids that meet specific customer needs. 
    • Provide customers with product samples, catalogs, and sales materials.
    • Explain and prepare details for contracts and payments.
    • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices and sales. 
    • Explain and promote company products, services, availability, product uses, and credit terms. 
    • Discuss customers’ needs and prepare quotes to meet their requirements, including inter-company and third-party suppliers. 
    • Follow-up with clients to clarify quotes and answer questions to sell our company, products, and services. 
    • Process orders, verifying receipt of all information required to properly produce and deliver product. 
    • Assist other sales team members by taking calls, learning together, and giving support and encouragement. 
    • Work effectively with other departments to solve problems and serve our customers. 
    • Attend trade shows as requested. 
    • Inform customers of unforeseen delays and problems.
    • Cross-train on all division products.
    • Work with engineering department on design improvements to existing equipment and design of new equipment.
    • Manage key accounts.
    • Prepare cost analyses.
    • Know, understand, and explain available marketing tools.
    • Maintain current pricing catalogs.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience: Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) or work equivalent; 2+ years of experience in sales.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit, use hands to manually manipulate, speak, and lift/carry up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach outward, reach above shoulders, climb, squat or kneel, bend, grasp, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 25 pounds.
    Other Physical Requirements: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in a manufacturing environment (i.e. safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection).
    • This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing settings.
