    Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport products.

    Essential Functions Statement(s)
    • Drives truck to and from destination as designated by the Shipping Supervisor.
    • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
    • Maintains driver log according to Interstate Commerce & DOT rules and regulations.
    • Maintains maintenance log and schedules routine tune-ups.
    • Responsible for loading and unloading truck and making sure the load is secure.
    • Follow all company, state, federal safety guidelines pertaining to this position.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience: One-year certificate from college or technical school or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Other Preferences: General manufacturing knowledge.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Must be able to pass DOT physical as set forth by DOT regs to maintain a valid CDL License.
    Other Physical Requirements: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in a manufacturing environment (i.e. safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection).
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
