Conestoga Marketplace Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the Conestoga Marketplace on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. on the east side of the building (in the parking lot of the former JCPenney store). 

Comments will be made by community leaders, representatives of developer Woodsonia Realty, and contractor Chief Construction and Development. Following the comments, the first swing of demolition will occur.

Conestoga Marketplace will include a variety of retail, office, and residential spaces, as well as a public plaza with a water feature. Target will be an anchor store for this development.
