Crossroads Mission Avenue is celebrating the grand opening of their thrift store, located at 2846 Old Fair Road, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and welcoming the community to check out the new store.
The store offers clothing for all ages, accessories, toys, household items and furniture. The site provides employment opportunities for residents of the Crossroad's Grand Island shelter, located at 1910 W. 9th Street, allowing the residents to gain training and encouragement in the workforce.
The thrift store site is also a recycling center for clothing and supplies. Items not used by the shelter residents or sold in the thrift store can be distributed to help meet the community's needs.
