Look Local Grow Local is a collaborative effort between the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce and Grow Grand Island that seeks to educate and motivate our community to think and look locally first when making buying decisions. The initiative includes an outdoor and online messaging campaign, the GO! Passport Program and Small Business Saturday.
Shop Small - All Season Long!American Express created Small Business Saturday in the midst of the 2010 recession to fall on the Saturday after Black Friday. In a non-pandemic year, some local retailers do 75% of their business between mid-November and January - making it easy to see how each purchase at a local business can and does make a difference.
But how can you participate? It's easy!
GO! Passport Program - DEADLINE EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 21
